St Paul's Cathedral

The cathedral is one of the most famous and most recognisable sights of London.

It is an Anglican cathedral, the seat of the Bishop of London and the mother church of the Diocese of London.

St Paul's Cathedral is one of the world's largest churches. It enjoys international renown, particularly due to the wedding of Lady Diana and Prince Charles. Every reigning anniversary of the current monarch, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, has been celebrated here.

In contrast to Westminster Abbey, which has a long history relevant to the British Royal Family, St Paul's Cathedral, with its English-baroque architecture, is strongly associated with the world-renowned English architect Sir Christopher Wren.

Here you can also find one of the world's tallest domes, as well as the famous Whispering Gallery.

But also important statesmen lie buried here. You are able to encounter traditional and modern art within the cathedral, too.

St Paul’s Cathedral is a working church with hourly prayer and daily services. Please be considerate towards this!
